AMANDA IS A VOLUNTEER COACH FOR LMU, SPECIALIZING IN TRACK BUT ALSO SUPPORTING THE CROSS COUNTRY TEAM. SHE HAS BEEN COACHING SINCE 2018, IS USATF CERTIFIED TO COACH ALL DISTANCES, AND WORKS WITH ATHLETES FROM BEGINNERS TO NCAA COMPETITORS. SHE IS FAMOUSLY PRECISE IN CALCULATING SPLITS — EARNING HER THE TITLE OF OUR “SPLIT QUEEN.”

HER COACHING PHILOSOPHY CENTERS ON LONGEVITY, HELPING ATHLETES AVOID INJURY AND BURNOUT SO THEY CAN ENJOY RUNNING FOR LIFE. SHE HAS PERSONAL EXPERIENCE RETURNING TO TRAINING AFTER HAVING THREE DAUGHTERS AND KNOWS HOW TO MAKE EVERY WORKOUT COUNT WITHIN A BUSY SCHEDULE. AMANDA IS PASSIONATE ABOUT EMPOWERING FEMALE ATHLETES AND BRINGS BOTH TECHNICAL EXPERTISE AND EMPATHY TO EVERY SESSION.

A FORMER SPRINTER, AMANDA SPENT OVER 25 YEARS FOCUSING ON THE 100M AND 200M BEFORE CHALLENGING HERSELF TO TRY LONGER RACES IN HER LATE 20S. SINCE THEN, SHE’S COMPLETED MULTIPLE HALF MARATHONS AND RAN HER FIRST FULL MARATHON — THE BOSTON MARATHON — IN APRIL 2024. SHE NOW USES HER MARATHON FITNESS AS A SPRINGBOARD FOR PERSONAL BESTS IN SHORTER DISTANCES, BRINGING THAT SAME MINDSET OF GROWTH AND RESILIENCE TO THE ATHLETES SHE COACHES.
